Presentation Sheaf

Presentation Sheaf made in class with Vanda Orchids, Lilies, Leucadendrons, Heliconia, and monsterea (some foliage taken out to use in a Laural Wreath. If I had another leaf I would have lined the vase... next time. Have a few of these to make over the next few weeks (quite a favourite of mine).

Pink Table

I love decorating the dinner table - something simple always looks nice. Here are some peonies, freesias and in the background, a big pink Protea with dodda vine.

2010 Royal Easter Show

I am entering into the Royal Easter Show's Floral competition and the brief is:

"An arrangement of fresh plant material, which is suitable for a table decoration for an “Oriental” dinner or function. Country to be named. Bench space allowed 70cm square, with no height restriction."

Just working on some idea's at the moment. will post the final product on judging day 11 April.

Frames

I like taking close up pics of flowers & succulents and placing them in frames. Got the idea to do this one year as a sentimental birthday gift and mothers day presents... and i've had requests ever since! Frames are from Ikea.

Christmas Wreaths

Since we didn't have a christmas tree this year I made wreaths out of dodda vine, strung battery pack fairy lights through a few and suspended them from the ceiling with hubbies fishing wire. I used clear mini 3M hooks on the ceiling. BTW its March and they are still hanging... minus the lily of cause (which was sitting in a vile of water)

Orchids

I made these buttonholes and corsages with what I had in the garden. Orchids were bought from the markets.
