Orchids in a new vase!

I couldn't bear to see these orchids wilt away in my trail bouquet so i've put them in one of the new vases I got for the flower club... (BTW i need to find a good name for flower club...but i'll come back to that)... they were a bargin. Now my flower club members get a few different types of vase for their arrangements.

More Sympanthy tributes

I made these last term in our funeral module... Finally got them off my camera. The heart shaped moss doesn't look as green as it did in real life.

Trail Bouquet

This is my second attempt at a natural stem wired trail bouquet. Did it in the time frame with time to spare which was a relief. Next week we get assessed...!

Funeral Designs

Assessment designs in my last class yesterday. With little to no colour in my bucket, I had to make do with the dodgy orchids (the floral foam wreath can be used as table centerpieces too. Just add candle). Next term is weddings! Now that is going to be stressful.

Flower Club

I've started the flower club, which currently happens every fortnight, with orchids. They are long lasters which is what I was after since the flowers are only ordered every two weeks. Each client receives the same arrangement.

Ivory & Purple Wedding

My Bride requested purple and Ivory Roses so I used freesias, Lissies and privet berry, later found out the bride had a massive tree of privet berry in her yard so it was a nice touch. Really wanted to use Berzellia but it wasn't available... The completed flowers below (Hair flowers, buttonholes and bouquets):

Weekend without flowers

I am feeling very lost this long easter weekend... no floristry school, no flowers in the house! I have resorted to looking at local florists websites and blogs. Favourits are Buds and Bowers in Surry Hills... had a physical reaction to a wreath they had on their website - just amazing! Also like Garlands Florist (whom are also in Surry Hills).

Also sitting here making buttonholes using flowers from the garden and working on some bouquet ribbon wrapping ideas.

I think I have an itch I need to scratch... since the flowers from the garden aren't doing it for me, I might have to make a trip into Harris Farms tomorrow and grab some flowers to play with... Can't wait til Tuesday when i'm back at the flower markets to pick up my order for my Purple & Ivory wedding next Friday.

What can I say, I will not deny it if someone said I had a problem.

Presentation Sheaf

Presentation Sheaf made in class with Vanda Orchids, Lilies, Leucadendrons, Heliconia, and monsterea (some foliage taken out to use in a Laural Wreath. If I had another leaf I would have lined the vase... next time. Have a few of these to make over the next few weeks (quite a favourite of mine).

Pink Table

I love decorating the dinner table - something simple always looks nice. Here are some peonies, freesias and in the background, a big pink Protea with dodda vine.
