Dad and Baby:
The Bridesmaids, Flowergirl and proud Father of the Bride:
The reception room was filled with the smell of David Austin Roses, Sweetpea, and Freesia's. All were very happy on the day! Yay Success!
I had to share the beautiful scent of the Daphne with my flower club friends... here are some of the designs for this week:
This is a formal linear arrangment in floral foam. I loved making this one. When I get my vase back that will fit the bowl I arranged it in, I will take some nicer photo's.
Cake Topper made as one piece and balanced on top of the cake. Its similar to making a fully wired bouquet but quicker and alot smaller!!:Daphne is by far (in my book anyway) the most amazing smelling garden shrub flower. It has a strong sweet smell that fills the air around it.
This is what it looks like:
Country of Origin: Western China
Availability: Mid to Late Winter (May - July in Australia) although I got some today (Early August. I didn't really seen much of it over the winter.
As much as I wanted to eat it this morning, it is actually poisonous if eaten.
We also made a pomander ball. With the left over's, I made below Chrysanthemum's in a vase, and some orchids in a fish bowl vase (And, thanks to Maya for testing out the longevity of the pomander ball!):
Note to self: Do not put too many tea lights in a fishbowl vase especially if close to the top. Yeah you guessed it - Crack!!How beautiful are these roses:
We were discussing in class what colour these are and we decided they were a peach colour. they are huge and do look a bit like peaches. These would go really well at a wedding or on a reception desk.

My Client loves smelly flowers (in the good sense that is) so here they are. The lilies smell great!
Side note: I am deeply upset that Ikea no longer sell these frames... what am i going to do now? Soooo should have bought a heap of them when i had the chance. Although 10 packs of 2 I thought was ample at the time.
Welcome to the world little man!
